Our thanks to District Governor Dave Hamilton and Assistant Governor Frank Peabody, leaders in the 5040 Rotary District covering most of British Columbia! Dave is part of the
Rotary Club of Tsawwassen
and Frank is a member of
Rotary Club of Burnaby - Deer Lake.

During the visit, DG Dave discussed many topics in effective club management and community support; in particular, he quoted a very relevant challenge to our organization and others that "volunteer organizations must be evolutionary always and at times revolutionary". Just as Rotary historically adapted to great societal upheavals of the great depression and world wars we must also adapt to COVID-19.
Dave Hamilton also inducted our newest member Sara Dubois, Chief Scientific Officer of the BC SPCA, an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia in animal biology, and a former Rotary Youth Exchange student. We are excited to see her dedication to all of our community, welcome back to Rotary Sara!
